WHO WE ARE

The Electrical Manufacturers’ and Distributors’ Association of Ireland (EMDA) was established in 1986 as the representative trade association for manufacturers and distributors of electrical installation equipment in the Republic of Ireland.

Its membership includes both Irish companies and multinational manufacturers supplying electrical and electronic products to the Irish market. These companies typically operate across areas such as:

• Electrical installation materials

• Switchgear and distribution systems

• Cabling and wiring accessories

• Lighting and emergency lighting

• Control and automation equipment

• Electrical testing and safety products

The association acts as a collective voice for suppliers operating within Ireland’s electrical contracting, wholesale and construction sectors.
